Start with a square sheet of paper, colored side down if applicable
Fold the paper diagonally in half to make a triangle
Unfold, then fold the other diagonal in half
Unfold again
Fold the paper in half horizontally
Unfold
Fold the left and right sides inward along the diagonal creases to form a smaller diamond shape
Fold the two lower side edges toward the center line to make a kite shape
Flip the paper over
Repeat the side folds on this side if needed
Fold the long bottom point upward to form the neck
Fold the tip of the neck downward to make the head
Pull the neck and tail gently apart to shape the swan
Adjust the wings by folding them slightly downward
Flatten and refine all creases to finish the swan
