Unfold it
Fold it in half diagonally the other way
Unfold it
Fold the paper in half horizontally
Unfold it
Fold the paper in half vertically
Unfold it
Bring the side corners inward to form a smaller square
Fold the top layer’s corners toward the center
Repeat on the other side if needed
Flatten the shape neatly
Cut or shape the edges into star points if desired
Unfold carefully to reveal the star shape
