How To Make Pesto With Fresh Basil?

2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/3 cup pine nuts

2 cloves garlic

1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Wash and dry the basil leaves

Add basil, Parmesan, pine nuts, and garlic to a food processor

Pulse until finely chopped

With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil

Blend until smooth or slightly textured

Add salt and black pepper

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed

Use immediately or store in an airtight container

Cover the surface with a thin layer of olive oil before refrigerating
