Gather a photo, cardboard or wood, ruler, pencil, scissors or craft knife, glue, and decorative materials
Measure the photo size
Decide the frame border width
Draw two rectangles on the base material: one outer rectangle and one inner rectangle matching the photo opening
Cut out the inner rectangle to create the frame opening
Cut the outer shape of the frame
Make a backing piece the same size as the outer frame
Attach the photo to the backing piece
Place the frame over the photo and align it
Glue or tape the frame to the backing
Add a stand or hanging loop if needed
Decorate the frame with paint, paper, fabric, beads, or stickers
Let the frame dry completely before use
