Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Open a can of refrigerated crescent roll dough or use puff pastry

Separate the dough into triangles or cut into strips

Cut hot dogs or sausages into smaller pieces if desired

Place one hot dog or sausage piece on each piece of dough

Roll the dough around the hot dog or sausage

Place seam-side down on the baking sheet

Brush with beaten egg if desired

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown

Serve warm with mustard, ketchup, or dipping sauce
