Gather soft bread slices, spreadable filling, and optional add-ins
Trim the crusts from the bread
Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin
Spread an even layer of filling over each slice
Add thin toppings if desired
Roll each slice tightly into a log
Wrap the rolls and chill briefly to help them hold shape
Slice each roll into pinwheels
Arrange on a serving plate and serve
