Harvest mature oat grains
Clean and remove debris, chaff, and stones
Dehull the oats to remove the outer husk
Separate the oat groats from the husks
Steam the groats to soften them
Roll the steamed groats between large rollers
Flatten the groats into flakes
Dry the rolled oats to reduce moisture
Cool the oats after drying
Sift and sort by size
Package the finished rolled oats
