Gather cotton fabric, a loom, warp thread, scissors, a shuttle, and a measuring tape
Wash, dry, and press the cotton fabric
Cut the cotton fabric into long strips
Join short strips into longer continuous strips
Set up the loom with a strong warp
Secure the warp evenly across the loom
Thread the fabric strip onto the shuttle
Weave the cotton strip over and under the warp threads
Pack each row tightly with a beater or comb
Continue weaving until the rug reaches the desired length
Keep edges even while weaving
Tie off the final row securely
Remove the rug from the loom
Trim loose ends
Fold or stitch the edges if needed
Press the finished rug flat
Repeat the process for additional rugs
