How To Make Shikanji?

2 lemons

4 cups cold water

4 tablespoons sugar, or to taste

1/2 teaspoon black salt

1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

1/4 teaspoon regular salt, optional

1/4 teaspoon black pepper, optional

2 tablespoons mint leaves, chopped, optional

1/2 teaspoon chaat masala, optional

Ice cubes

Squeeze the lemons into a jug

Add sugar

Add black salt

Add roasted cumin powder

Add regular salt, if using

Add black pepper, if using

Add chaat masala, if using

Add cold water

Stir until the sugar dissolves

Add chopped mint leaves, if using

Add ice cubes

Taste and adjust sweetness or salt

Serve chilled
