How To Make Simple Syrup?

Combine equal parts sugar and water (by weight or volume)

Example: 1 cup sugar + 1 cup water

Add sugar and water to a saucepan

Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar fully dissolves

Remove from heat

Cool to room temperature

Use immediately or store in a clean, airtight container

Refrigerate up to 1–2 weeks

For thicker syrup, use less water (e.g., 2 parts sugar to 1 part water)

For thinner syrup, use more water (e.g., 1 part sugar to 1.25–1.5 parts water)
