Add frozen fruit to a blender
Pour in a liquid base such as milk, yogurt, juice, or water
Add a thickener if desired, such as banana, yogurt, oats, or nut butter
Add sweetener if needed, such as honey, maple syrup, or dates
Add extras if desired, such as protein powder, seeds, spinach, or vanilla
Start blending on low speed
Stop and scrape down the sides if needed
Add more liquid a little at a time if the mixture is too thick
Blend until smooth and creamy
Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness
Pour into a glass and serve immediately
