Gather a square sheet of paper
Fold the paper in half diagonally to make a triangle
Fold it in half again to make a smaller triangle
Fold the triangle into thirds or quarters to create a narrow wedge
Trim the top edge if needed to make it even
Cut small shapes, slits, and triangles along the folded edges
Avoid cutting all the way through the paper
Unfold the paper carefully
Flatten the snowflake
Repeat with more paper to make additional snowflakes
