How To Make Sushi Rice In Rice Cooker?

Rinse 2 cups sushi rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear

Drain the rice well

Add the rinsed rice to the rice cooker

Add 2 cups water

Close the lid and cook on the regular white rice setting

Let the rice rest in the cooker for 10 to 15 minutes after cooking

Mix 1/4 cup rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt until dissolved

Transfer the cooked rice to a large nonmetal bowl

Pour the vinegar mixture over the rice

Fold the rice gently with a rice paddle or spatula

Fan the rice while mixing until it becomes glossy and cool

Cover the rice with a damp cloth until ready to use
