How To Make Jelly At Home?

Choose your fruit juice or fruit puree

Measure 4 cups of juice

Add 4 tablespoons of powdered pectin

Add 4 cups of sugar

Pour the juice into a large pot

Stir in the pectin

Bring the mixture to a full rolling boil

Add the sugar all at once

Stir constantly until the sugar dissolves

Boil hard for 1 to 2 minutes

Remove from heat

Skim off any foam

Pour the jelly into sterilized jars

Leave a small amount of headspace

Wipe the jar rims clean

Seal the jars with lids

Process the jars in a boiling water bath if needed

Let the jars cool completely

Check that the lids have sealed

Store in a cool, dark place

Refrigerate after opening
