Gather wonton wrappers, ground pork or shrimp, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, chopped scallions, chicken broth, and optional bok choy
Mix ground pork or shrimp with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and scallions
Place a small spoonful of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water
Fold and seal the wontons tightly
Bring chicken broth to a gentle boil in a pot
Add optional bok choy and simmer until tender
Add wontons to the broth
Cook until the wontons float and the filling is fully cooked
Taste the broth and adjust seasoning with soy sauce, salt, or sesame oil
Serve hot with chopped scallions on top
