Log in to Facebook
Open your profile
Tap/click the menu (three lines) or Settings & privacy
Select Settings
Go to Audience and visibility
Set who can see your future posts to Friends (or Only me)
Limit who can see past posts (tap/click Limit past posts)
Review your profile visibility options
Set profile information visibility to Friends or Only me where available
Go to Privacy
Check the settings for:
Who can see your friends list
Who can look you up using your email address or phone number
Who can send you friend requests
Who can contact you
Public search settings
Go to Timeline and tagging
Set review settings for tags:
Review posts you’re tagged in
Review tags people add to your posts
Set who can post on your profile to Friends (or Only me if available)
Go to Blocking
Block accounts you don’t want to interact with
Go to Apps and websites
Remove or limit access for apps you don’t use
Review active logins and sign out of unused sessions
Go to Security and login
Enable two-factor authentication
Check connected accounts and remove anything you don’t recognize
Use View As to verify how others see your profile
