Open the Photos app
Tap Library or Albums
Tap Select
Tap multiple photos to choose them
Drag your finger across rows of photos to select many at once
Tap the Trash icon
Tap Delete Photos to confirm
Open the Recently Deleted album
Tap Select
Tap Delete All or select photos and delete them permanently
Use iCloud Photos on a Mac or PC to delete photos in bulk if synced
Use the Photos app on a Mac to select and delete multiple photos at once
Use iCloud.com Photos to select multiple photos and delete them in bulk
Use the Files app or third-party transfer tools only if you need to remove imported copies after backing them up
