Lay the glove flat with the fingers fully extended
Measure from the tip of the index finger to the heel of the glove
Use a flexible tape measure or ruler
Keep the tape measure straight along the back side of the glove
Record the measurement in inches
Compare the measurement to the glove’s listed size
Check the manufacturer’s sizing method if available
Measure the pocket depth if you need a fit comparison
Measure from the heel to the top of the web for some catcher’s mitts and first baseman’s mitts
Measure both gloves if comparing sizes for different positions
