Measure straight down to the hem

Keep the tape aligned vertically
Record the length in inches or centimeters
For sleeveless dresses, measure from the top of the shoulder strap or neckline
For dresses with a train or uneven hem, measure the shortest or longest point as needed
Repeat the measurement to confirm accuracy
