Wash your hands thoroughly
Clean the piercing area with saline
Hold the flat back disc on the inside of your nostril
Grip the front stud firmly on the outside
Twist the front piece counterclockwise if it is threaded
Pull the front piece straight out if it is threadless
Keep the back disc steady while removing the front
Use a tissue or clean gloves for better grip if needed
Stop if you feel pain, swelling, or resistance
Visit a professional piercer if it will not come out easily
