Use a flexible measuring tape
Measure around your waist or hips where you will wear the belt
Keep the tape snug but not tight
Note the measurement in inches or centimeters
If measuring an existing belt, measure from the buckle end to the hole you use most often
Choose a belt size that is 1 to 2 inches larger than your waist measurement
For dress belts, match the belt size to your pant size if the brand uses standard sizing
Check the brand’s size chart before buying
If between sizes, choose the larger size
