Chop the chocolate into small, even pieces
Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl
Microwave on low power for 20 to 30 seconds
Stir the chocolate well
Repeat microwaving in 10 to 15 second intervals
Stir after each interval
Stop when most of the chocolate is melted
Keep stirring until completely smooth
Avoid overheating the chocolate
Use immediately if needed for dipping or baking
