Crack 2 eggs into a microwave-safe bowl
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk or water
Add a pinch of salt and pepper
Whisk until well combined
Add a small pat of butter if desired
Microwave on high for 30 seconds
Stir well
Microwave in 15 to 20 second intervals, stirring after each interval
Stop when the eggs are just set and still slightly moist
Let sit for 30 seconds
Stir again and serve immediately
