Open an app that uses the camera, such as FaceTime, Photo Booth, Zoom, or Teams
Allow camera access if prompted
Check that the camera indicator light turns on
Use the app’s video settings to select the built-in camera if needed
Open Photo Booth to test the camera directly
Open FaceTime and start a video call to use the camera
Go to System Settings
Click Privacy & Security
Click Camera
Turn on camera access for the apps you want to use
Restart the app if the camera does not open
Restart the MacBook if the camera still does not work
