Locate the seam around the key fob
Remove the mechanical key if your fob has one
Use the key blade or a small flat tool to pry gently at the seam
Twist carefully until the fob separates
Open the battery cover if needed
Replace the battery or inspect the inside
Snap the fob halves back together firmly
Reinsert the mechanical key if removed
