Locate the small seam or notch along the edge of the Nissan key fob
Insert a flathead screwdriver, coin, or plastic pry tool into the notch
Gently twist or pry to separate the two halves of the fob
Work around the edge if needed until the case opens
Remove the internal key blade first if your fob has a hidden emergency key
Lift out the battery cover or circuit board carefully if you need to replace the battery
Refit the halves by aligning the edges and pressing them together firmly
Reinsert the emergency key blade if removed
