Clean the brick thoroughly
Remove dirt, mildew, and loose debris
Repair cracks and damaged mortar

Apply masonry primer
Use a paint suitable for masonry or brick
Stir the paint well
Cut in edges with a brush
Roll or spray paint onto the brick
Apply a second coat if needed
Let each coat dry fully
Inspect for missed spots and touch up
