Open the Maps app
Search for the location or drop a pin on the map
Touch and hold the spot on the map until a pin appears
Tap the pin to open its details
Tap Share if you want to send the pinned location
Tap Save or Add to Favorites if available
Open Messages or another app if you want to share the pinned location there
In Messages, open a conversation
Tap the plus button or app icon next to the text field
Choose Maps or Location
Select the pinned location and send it
