Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil
Soak ranunculus corms in room-temperature water for 3 to 4 hours before planting
Plant in fall in mild climates or early spring in colder climates
Place corms with the claws pointing downward
Plant corms 2 inches deep
Space corms 4 to 6 inches apart
Cover with soil and water lightly after planting
Keep soil evenly moist, not soggy
Mulch lightly if needed to retain moisture and regulate temperature
Protect from hard frost if planted in cold weather
Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms
