How to Plant Sprouted Potatoes?

Choose healthy sprouted potatoes with firm flesh and short, sturdy sprouts

Cut large potatoes into pieces with at least one or two sprouts on each piece

Let cut pieces dry for 1 to 2 days until the cut surfaces callus

Prepare loose, well-drained soil in a sunny location

Mix in compost if needed

Plant pieces 3 to 4 inches deep with sprouts facing up

Space pieces 12 to 15 inches apart

Space rows 2 to 3 feet apart

Cover with soil and water lightly

Keep soil evenly moist, not soggy

Hill soil around stems as plants grow

Harvest when plants yellow and die back

Dig carefully to avoid damaging tubers
