Use a standard 52-card deck
Each player gets 6 cards in a 2-player game
Each player discards 2 cards to form the crib
Deal one starter card face down, then turn it face up
Count aces as 1, number cards as face value, face cards as 10
During play, players alternate laying down one card at a time
Keep a running total of the card values played
Do not exceed 31
Score points during play for 15, 31, pairs, triples, quadruples, and runs
If you cannot play without going over 31, say go
The other player continues if possible
When both players cannot play, reset the count to 0
The player who played the last card gets 1 point
After all cards are played, count each hand
Count the starter card with each hand
Count the crib for the dealer
Score points for 15, pairs, runs, flushes, and nobs
First player to reach 121 points wins
