Ensure your Jio SIM is active and can receive SMS
Check that your number is eligible for Mobile Number Portability
Send an SMS from your Jio number to 1900 in this format: PORT
Receive the UPC code by SMS
Visit a BSNL Customer Service Centre, BSNL retailer, or authorized point of sale
Carry valid KYC documents such as Aadhaar or any government-issued ID
Provide your UPC code and mobile number for porting
Fill out the BSNL porting request form
Choose a BSNL prepaid or postpaid plan
Submit biometric verification or document verification if required
Collect and insert the new BSNL SIM when instructed
Wait for the porting process to complete
Keep your Jio SIM active until the porting is fully completed
Switch to BSNL after receiving the final activation SMS
Restart your phone after the new BSNL SIM becomes active
