Keep your Vi SIM active and ensure it is not barred or expired
Generate a UPC by sending an SMS from your Vi number to 1900 in this format: PORT
Receive the UPC and note its validity period
Visit an Airtel store, Airtel retailer, or request Airtel doorstep porting if available
Submit the UPC, your Vi mobile number, and a valid ID proof
Complete the Customer Acquisition Form and provide biometric or eKYC verification if required
Choose an Airtel prepaid or postpaid plan
Receive the Airtel SIM
Keep using the Vi SIM until it stops working
Insert the Airtel SIM after porting is approved and activation is completed
Wait for the porting process to finish, usually within a few days
Recharge or pay the first bill if required to activate the Airtel connection
