Wear gloves, goggles, and an N95 mask
Ventilate the area by opening windows and using fans
Remove and discard porous items with heavy mold growth
Scrub non-porous surfaces with soap and water
Apply a mold-killing disinfectant or a diluted bleach solution
Let the disinfectant sit for the recommended contact time
Rinse the surface if required by the product label
Dry the area completely
Clean or replace contaminated cleaning tools
Fix the moisture source to prevent mold from returning
