Ensure there are no pending dues on postpaid connections
Send an SMS from your Vi number: PORT
Receive the UPC code and its validity via SMS
Visit a BSNL store, BSNL customer service center, or authorized retailer
Submit the UPC code, your Vi SIM details, and valid KYC documents
Fill out the mobile number portability request form
Choose a BSNL prepaid or postpaid plan
Complete biometric or document verification if required
Collect the new BSNL SIM
Wait for the porting process to complete
Keep your Vi SIM active until it stops working
Insert and activate the BSNL SIM after porting is completed
Restart your phone if the BSNL network does not appear immediately
