Ensure your Vodafone number is active and eligible for porting
Send an SMS from your Vodafone number to 1900 in this format: PORT
Receive the UPC code and its validity via SMS
Visit an Airtel store or Airtel authorized outlet with your UPC code
Carry valid ID proof, address proof, and passport-size photographs if required
Fill out the Mobile Number Portability form
Submit your documents and UPC code to Airtel
Choose the Airtel prepaid or postpaid plan you want
Wait for the porting request to be processed
Keep your Vodafone SIM active until the porting is completed
Insert the Airtel SIM after the Vodafone number stops working and the Airtel SIM is activated
Complete any required verification steps if asked by Airtel
Check that your number is working on Airtel after activation
