How To Properly Address An Envelope?

Write the recipient’s full name on the first line

Write the street address or P.O. Box on the second line

Write the city, state or province, and ZIP or postal code on the third line

Write the country on the last line for international mail

Place the recipient’s address in the center of the envelope

Write the return address in the upper left corner

Use clear, legible handwriting or printed text

Use the correct postage in the upper right corner

Use abbreviations only when appropriate and standard
