Park the car on a level surface and let the engine cool completely
Open the hood and locate the coolant reservoir and radiator cap
Check the owner’s manual for the correct antifreeze type and mix ratio
Wear gloves and eye protection
Remove the coolant reservoir cap slowly
If the engine is cold, remove the radiator cap slowly if needed
Mix antifreeze with distilled water if using concentrate, according to the label
Pour the coolant into the reservoir up to the “MAX” or “FULL” line
If filling the radiator, pour slowly until full
Reinstall the cap securely
Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes
Check the coolant level again after the engine cools
Add more coolant if the level is low
Clean up any spills immediately
Dispose of old coolant properly and keep it away from children and pets
