Turn off the weedeater and disconnect the spark plug or battery
Remove the trimmer head cover or spool cap
Take out the spool
Remove any old string
Cut a length of new trimmer line to the correct size
Fold the line if your spool uses a doubled line
Insert the line into the spool slot or anchor hole
Wind the line tightly and evenly in the direction marked on the spool
Leave the required amount of line free at the ends
Thread the line ends through the spool eyelets or exit holes
Reinstall the spool into the trimmer head
Replace the cover or cap
Pull the line ends to confirm they move freely
Reconnect the spark plug or battery
Test the trimmer briefly and trim excess line if needed
