On Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD, go to Settings
Select System
Select Restart
If the remote is working, press and hold Back and TV/Control Center until the status light on Apple TV blinks
Release the buttons when the light blinks
If Apple TV is frozen, unplug the power cord from the Apple TV
Wait about 6 seconds
Plug the power cord back in
If you use the Apple TV app on a device, close and reopen the app
Restart the device if needed
