Open the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
Tap or click Items
Select the AirTag
If the AirTag is disconnected, bring it close to your device
Make sure Bluetooth is on
Make sure Location Services is on
Make sure your device is connected to the internet
Replace the AirTag battery if needed
Remove the AirTag from your Apple ID if it was previously paired to another account
Hold the AirTag near your iPhone and follow the on-screen setup prompt
Press down on the AirTag cover, rotate counterclockwise, and reinsert the battery if needed
Reset the AirTag by removing and reinserting the battery five times if it still will not reconnect
Try reconnecting again after the reset
Update your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the latest software version
Contact Apple Support if the AirTag still does not reconnect
