Open Voice Memos
Tap the red Record button
Place the iPhone near the conversation
Tap Stop when finished
Save the recording
Use the Phone app’s built-in call recording feature if available in your region and iOS version
Start or answer a call
Tap the Record button during the call
Wait for the announcement or prompt if shown
Tap Stop to end recording
Find the recording in Notes or the Phone app, depending on your iPhone version
Use a third-party call recording app if built-in recording is unavailable
Install a trusted app from the App Store
Follow the app’s recording instructions
Complete any required setup or permissions
Save the recording in the app
Use an external recorder for better audio quality
Connect a compatible recording device
Record the conversation separately
Transfer the audio file to your iPhone if needed
Check local laws before recording any conversation
Get consent when required
Follow applicable privacy rules
