How To Record In Screen?

Open the app or website you want to record on

Choose a recording tool:

Windows: Xbox Game Bar

macOS: Screenshot toolbar / QuickTime Player

Browser: built-in screen recorder extension

Mobile: built-in screen recording

Windows (Xbox Game Bar):

Press Win + G

Click Capture (or the record button)

Click Record

Click Stop when finished

Find the file in Videos > Captures

Windows (PowerPoint workaround):

Open PowerPoint

Insert > Screen Recording

Select the recording area

Click Record

Click Stop

Save the video from the slide

macOS (QuickTime Player):

Open QuickTime Player

File > New Screen Recording

Choose microphone (optional)

Click Record

Select the area (or click inside the screen)

Click Stop in the menu bar

Save the file

macOS (Screenshot toolbar):

Press Command + Shift + 5

Choose Record Entire Screen or Record Selected Portion

Select microphone (if available)

Click Record

Click Stop in the menu bar

Save the file

iPhone/iPad:

Open Settings > Control Center > Add Screen Recording (if needed)

Swipe to Control Center

Tap Screen Recording

Tap Stop (red indicator) when finished

Find in Photos

Android:

Swipe down to open Quick Settings

Tap Screen Recorder

Choose audio options (if available)

Tap Start

Tap Stop when finished

Find in Gallery/Photos or the Recorder folder

Browser (typical flow):

Open the screen recorder extension/app

Select screen/tab/window

Choose microphone/system audio (if available)

Click Start Recording

Click Stop when finished

Download/save the video

If the screen is blank or black:

Switch from “window” to “screen” capture

Change the selected tab/window

Ensure the browser/app allows capture permissions

If you need audio:

Enable microphone in the recorder settings

Or select “system audio” if supported by your tool

Save/export:

Stop recording

Choose Save/Download/Export

Select the destination folder and format if prompted
