Open the Steam client or go to the Steam website
Sign in to your Steam account
Click the Games menu in the Steam client
Select Activate a Product on Steam
Click Next
Agree to the Steam Subscriber Agreement
Enter your product code
Click Next to redeem the code
Follow any remaining prompts to complete activation
Check your Library for the newly added game or content
