Make sure the torch is completely cool
Turn the torch off
Work in a well-ventilated area away from flames, sparks, and heat
Check that the butane canister nozzle matches the torch fill valve
Shake the butane canister for a few seconds
Hold the torch upside down
Press the refill nozzle firmly into the torch fill valve
Keep the canister and torch aligned
Fill in short bursts until the tank is full
Stop when butane starts to spray back or the hissing changes
Wait a few minutes for excess gas to dissipate
Adjust the flame control to the lowest setting
Purge trapped air if needed by briefly pressing the fill valve with a small tool
Refill again if necessary
Test the torch outdoors or in a safe area before regular use
Check for leaks before using the torch normally
