Back up your important files to an external drive or cloud storage
Make sure you have your Windows product key or digital license information
Download the official Windows installation media creation tool from Microsoft
Use the tool to create a bootable USB drive
Insert the USB drive into the computer
Restart the computer and enter the boot menu or BIOS/UEFI
Set the USB drive as the first boot device
Save changes and restart
Choose your language, time, and keyboard settings
Select Install now
Enter your product key if prompted, or choose I don’t have a product key
Select the Windows edition that matches your license
Accept the license terms
Choose Custom: Install Windows only
Select the drive or partition where Windows will be installed
Delete or format the Windows partition if you want a clean reinstall
Select the unallocated space or target partition
Click Next to begin installation
Wait for Windows to copy files and restart
Complete the on-screen setup steps
Sign in with your Microsoft account or create a local account
Reinstall drivers, updates, and applications
Restore your backed-up files
