Burp the baby after and during feeds
Hold the baby upright against your chest
Gently pat or rub the baby’s back
Lay the baby across your lap and support the head
Try a bicycle-leg motion with the baby’s legs
Gently massage the baby’s tummy in a clockwise direction
Give a warm bath if the baby seems comfortable
Feed in a calm, slow manner to reduce swallowed air
Check that the baby has a good latch during breastfeeding
Use the correct bottle nipple flow if bottle-feeding
Keep the baby upright for a short time after feeding
Contact a pediatrician if the baby seems very uncomfortable, has a swollen belly, vomits, or is hard to soothe
