Make sure the vehicle has a factory remote start system or an installed remote start kit
Confirm the key fob battery is working
Lock all doors
Press the lock button on the key fob
Press and hold the remote start button on the key fob for about 2 to 3 seconds
Wait for the parking lights to flash and the engine to start
Enter the vehicle with the key fob present
Press the brake pedal and push the start button to take control of the vehicle
If the engine does not start, check the owner’s manual for your model year and trim
If using NissanConnect, open the app and select the remote start option
Follow the app prompts to start the engine remotely
Ensure the vehicle is in Park and all doors, hood, and trunk are closed
Check that remote start is enabled in the vehicle settings if applicable
