Open the Excel workbook
Go to File
Select Info
Click Protect Workbook
Choose Encrypt with Password
Delete the existing password
Click OK
Save the workbook
If the file is protected for editing, go to Review
Click Unprotect Sheet or Unprotect Workbook
Enter the password if prompted
Save the file again
