Open Settings on your phone
Tap Passwords & accounts or Accounts
Select the Google account you want to remove
Tap Remove account
Confirm by entering your PIN, pattern, or password if prompted
If the account is the only Google account on the phone, confirm the removal
On some phones, go to Settings > Accounts > Google > Remove account
If you want to remove it from Gmail, open Gmail, tap your profile picture, tap Manage accounts on this device, then remove the account
If you want to remove it from Chrome, open Chrome, tap your profile picture, and sign out or remove the account
If the phone is managed by work or school, check with your administrator before removing the account
If you are selling or giving away the phone, remove the account before factory resetting the device
